If you want to make someone happy, you can give him or her a nice present. For any occasion there are plenty of possibilities how to make happy a beloved person.
There are, for example, many of gadgets for men, like a cordless screwdriver, a drilling machine or a pad saw. Men like machines which they can use to improve their houses or gardens. A nice gift also maybe a helicopter. It may be an unusual present, but many men, who were able to remain young at heart, would be very enthusiastic about a gift like that.
There are many gift ideas for all kind of people. When a baby is born, you can choose from hundreds of items to make happy the new born family. You can buy a diaper-changing table or a sucker. Baby clothing would be nice also. And to stop the baby crying you can choose a cradle, so mom and dad could sleep better at night.
As there are gifts for men, there are also gifts for women. But you better do not give a woman household appliances, like a man, because women want normally luxury gifts. This could be perfume, an invitation to a very nice and expensive restaurant or exclusive underwear. Women are very sophisticated in that case. Wedding presents for example are normally bought in an exclusive gift store where the bride or the couple together chooses gift items which have to be bought by the guests.
When a child wants to make his parents a present than it has to choose cheap gifts, because children normally don't have much money. So nice gifts for dad could be a pair of socks or a new tie. Specially gifts for mom could be something self-made, because moms are very emotionally on that kind of presents, or a kind of voucher, where the child can put in the opportunity to wash the dishes more often or to do the shopping for the whole family.
An anniversary gift, to be given to the woman by her husband for the wedding anniversary could be jewels – like any mens gift should be – whereas birthday gifts don't have to be so expensive, meanwhile they can be unusual gifts or personalized gifts.

You can buy nice gifts not only in the UK, but also in Europe or in the USA. If you look for something really special and don't care for the money, you could buy for example things made from chocolate, like dresses or decorations. They look very nice and are really exclusive, but only made for people who do already have everything.
